Private Residence in Arlington
Arlington, VAFORMA was commissioned to re-design an apartment the owner had purchased “on paper”, before it was built. During construction, the builder did not allow for any deviation from the standard materials and layouts used in the rest of the building. When the apartment was completed, the owner instructed FORMA to re-design both public areas and bathrooms, addressing finishes, lighting and furniture. The end result is a custom home that met the clients taste, that looks nothing like the standard offering the builder had provided. The project was published in the summer issue of ARCHITECTURE/DC magazine in an article called “New Condo Redo”, and was featured on Fine Living Network’s “What you get for the Money”.
