Flat in Dupont Circle
Washington, DCThe clients had recently moved to a brand new 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom flat in the Dupont Circle area, and after living in the apartment for a few months realized that the space layout did not complement their lifestyle. The apartment had an enclosed kitchen and an exterior balcony that was cumbersome to get to. The bedroom was short on closet space, the second bedroom needed to function as an office and the Living/Dining areas were cramped and lacked character. FORMA re-configured the space opening up the kitchem and balcony area into an open plan Living/Dining/Entertainment area, where the dining room can open up to the outside for al-fresco dining, and where a custom wenge wall incorporating A/V and the fireplace becomes the focal point of the room. Custom millwork in the Master Bathroom sets it apart.
