Logan Circle DuplexWashington, DC
The client commissioned FORMA to re-design, de-clutter and modernize a two story, two-bedroom apartment in the popular Logan Circle area of Washington, DC. The space was not much above builder grade, and while many of the functions were left in their original location, their look was upgraded and their finishes seamlessly coordinated with the rest of the space. The length of the openings of the balconies of the two bedrooms upstairs were maximized and new railings were added, while new curtains now allow for total black-out at night for the sleeping areas. A two-story burnt orange wall accents and unites the TV wall downstairs to the guest room upstairs. The raised office platform is furnished with the same railings as upstairs, that allow the light and the vistas to flow. Custom shelving with LED lighting at the study area completes the look. Ceilings and ducts were repainted to maximize light reflectance. Kitchen lighting, a glass backsplash and new countertops upgrade the kitchen area, while new furniture throughout, pendant lighting, artwork and custom rugs complete the transformation.

"I hired FORMA to remodel my 2-BR loft-style condo in the Logan Circle area of Washington, DC. In short, I'm very pleased with the result and I'd definitely hire them again. I was happy with the ways in which they pushed me in directions I wouldn't have considered, and in cases where they recommended against ideas that I floated, I almost uniformly realized a bit down the road that they were entirely correct. The aesthetic -- modern and airy while also being warm and welcoming -- is impeccable. I also was extremely pleased by their response time; it was rare that emails or phone calls wouldn’t be answered within a few hours, and often it was quicker."
