Flat in McLean VAVirginia
FORMA was commissioned by the client to totally renovate a small flat on the 10th floor of a high rise tower close to McLean, VA. The one bedroom, one bath 900sf space was reconfigured according to a "white core in a grey box" parti, with the kitchen occupying the central core, all wrapped in a white textured envelope, while the rest of the apartment perimeter walls and ceilings are painted a charcoal grey. State of the art AV equipment, mid century modern furniture and simple accompanying pieces help make this space sublime.
This project was the cover of the Washington Post Real Estate Section on 22 April 2011 in the article "Tysons Corner area condo owner reboots his living space".
This project was featured in Home and Remodeling Trends Magazine Vol. 27 Number 9 "New Chapter".
The project was recognized with a Bronze award for residential interior design by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
"Twelve years after FORMA Design redesigned my bathroom I discussed with them my interest in redoing the remainder of my one bedroom condo. FORMA Design presented a number of unique ideas and options for me to select from. They remained actively involved during the entire remodeling process. I am very pleased with the distinctive results and highly recommend FORMA Design."
